The creative process

I work alongside a team of very talented designers to identify upcoming menswear trends, and design the garments that make up Primark’s amazing fashion at value prices each season. I spend my days gathering inspiration, sketching ideas for new prints and garments in my notebook, and going on shopping trips to see what trends are developing.

Another part of my role involves working with buyers to plan for new seasons and select looks that we think will sell. In fashion, you’re always doing something different; you work at speed and every day brings a different challenge. That’s what makes it so interesting and exciting.

I’d say that the best part of my of the job is travelling, seeing new brands and how people dress in different cities. And to think, I get paid for doing that!
