The purpose of the Environmental Specialist is to assist the business in delivering all aspects of Extended Producer Responsibility and Environmental Compliance across all global operations, ensuring the delivery 100% compliance, budget alignment and achieving relevant cost mitigation projects

What You’ll Do:
We want you to feel challenged and inspired. Here, you’ll develop your skills across a range of responsibilities:
- Support the Group Environmental Sustainability Manager in ensuring that Primark is meeting its global Environmental compliance requirements and achieving best practice in Environmental management where possible
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert for all aspects of Primark’s Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) requirements to ensure ongoing compliance
- Build an organizational plan to uphold legal compliance and adjust to new legislative requirements by guiding the execution strategy
- Collaborate with stakeholders internally and externally to horizon scan upcoming environmental legislation and Extended Producer Responsibility requirement to ensure business readiness
- Manage and continuously improve all aspects of internal environmental auditing for Primark stores, depots and offices

- Financial/commercial acumen
- Have a good working knowledge of relevant environmental practices with a focus on data and energy management
- Experience overseeing environmental compliance and Extended Producer Responsibility
- Retail or Fast-Moving Consumable Goods experience is beneficial.
- Results orientated with a clear focus on the delivery of objectives, including an ability to provide creative and innovative solutions based on a sound understanding of business requirements
