FP&A Manager

Role: Financial Planning & Analysis Manager

Purpose of role: This role will be varied leading our capital expenditure financial planning and supporting our Technology function from an FP&A perspective

Reports to: FP&A Manager – Opex and Capex
Location:Dublin Head Office
Key Responsibilities:
  • Create insight for the business, emphasising the implications of the numbers and suggested actions, not just commenting on variances as well as ongoing performance management
  • Ability to work across various stakeholders within the business and bring knowledge from various sources into the insights & discussions, looking primarily at the financial impact but also other implications
  • Lead the budget and forecasting processes for Capital Expenditure and Technology delivering insight and cross functional knowledge
  • Working with the other Finance teams and the business to deliver robust periodic commercial reporting and accurate financial forecasts
  • Lead and manage a team of Analysts
  • Look for continuous improvements in the reporting process and develop new financial models to automate calculations for sensitivity modelling and Budget/Forecasts
  • Identify any issues with the accuracy of the data that is received, working with management to identify solutions
Essential knowledge, skills and experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
  • Accounting qualification preferable (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent)
  • 5+ years relevant post qualification experience in FP&A or related field
  • Strong systems skills with excellent excel and power point skills
  • Strong financial acumen and modelling skills with exposure to business case development
  • Strong communications skills (written and verbal) – need to communicate at all levels
  • Strong planning and organisation skills, ability to plan and prioritise work schedule and work within agreed timescales
  • Ability to build relationships across the business, working alongside senior management at all levels within the business and external service providers / business partners
  • A working knowledge of retail would be preferable

  • Excellent systems skills with experience of developing and delivering systems-based (ideally Cognos) planning and reporting solutions in a large, complex, international business
  • Proven ability in developing effective working relationships across all levels of the organisation
  • Operates with a high level of integrity, diplomacy, tact and professionalism
