We have an opportunity for Skincare Buyer to join our Lifestyle team. Do you have a knowledgeable, well developed and informed understanding of the value beauty market? Do you have product formulation experience in Skincare, preferably science backed ingredient lead? If so, your next career move could be with Primark.
In a competitive skin care industry, we’re the growing business you can’t hold back. Right now, we’re
expanding across our existing markets and entering new markets. So, not only will it be your job to develop and manage trend-led ranges, but you will also gain an understanding of our regional customers, and leverage customer insights to tailor ranges which will translate to our global markets.
What we’re looking for
An experienced skin care buyer who’s proud of their range, connected to their suppliers and in tune with our customers.
We need you to have:
Market insights - You’ll single out the must‐have skin care trends from around the world and make sure they’re available in the right regions.
Self‐drive - Always be working towards our sales targets, margins, profit contribution, stock turn and SPV, every season, each financial year.
Commercial awareness - Keep an eye on our main competitors’ ranges – comparing price, quality and value – and carry out regular trading reviews with the Merchandising team.
All‐round communication - Maintain strong supplier relationships that can adapt to changing trends, while always negotiating the best prices and margins for the product.
Leadership qualities - Give guidance to assistant and trainee buyers as they support you in perfecting your range.
