Corporate Travel Manager job description
We are looking for an experienced Corporate Travel Manager to join our team! As the Primark Corporate Travel Manager, you will report into the Head of Workspaces & Travel and manage a small internal team in addition to the relationship with our TMC and other service providers.
Duty of care and policy are important to us as is driving the best value travel programme for Primark. The goal is to ensure colleague travel is safe and organised according to our company policy. Reporting, analysis and forward thinking are also a key requirement for this role.
In addition, you will be monitoring all the travel activities at our company, agreeing global and local deals with travel suppliers and hotels, managing the spend and reconciliation of group and event bookings. You will be a key player in improving and innovating our travel programme as we constantly evolve and grow as a business.
A corporate travel manager doesn’t just handle travel arrangements. They should be strategic thinkers and able to create travel policies according to the company’s needs. Travel Manager Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop and implement strategic policies and programme for corporate travel
- Track and manage the overall travel policy
- Educate colleagues on how to and what to book
- Manage and supervise travel arrangements
- Maintain trustworthy relationships with travel vendors
- Negotiate contracts with travel service providers
- Provide advice on travel documents, Visas, etc.
- Ensure compliance with our Anvil traveller security programme
- Manage credit card operations for the corporate travel card
- Ensure compliance with different relevant travel policies and procedures
- Suggest improvement and innovation in travel programs
- Preparing travel budget reports.
- Analyzing and preparing reports on travel spend
- Previous working experience as corporate travel manager
- Hands-on experience with international travel regulations and currencies
- Experience with T&E reporting and processing
- Good knowledge of MS Office and CTM/GDS solutions
- Good time-management skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Critical-thinker and problem-solver
- Customer-centered mindset
- BA in Tourism or similar relevant role
- Any additional certification related to traveling and tourism will be considered as an advantage
