Role: Treasury Analyst
Purpose of role: To support the operations and evolution of the Primark Treasury function

Key Responsibilities
- Cash Management
- Responsible for daily cash reconciliation and bank account positioning, ensuring appropriate balances are held in each jurisdiction
- Enhancing short-term cash flow forecasting to minimise overdraft positions and surplus funds in accounts
- Support the Payments team managing Treasury transactions and funding requirements
- Risk Management
- Management of internal intercompany FX exposures on a period basis, and developing forecasting of future internal positions
- Management of intercompany call and loan facility documentation
- Propose FX hedging cover, including the analysis of buyer order commitments and existing derivative portfolio, for all Primark entities
- Support the Assistant Treasurer in identifying currency, interest rate and commodity risks and developing risk management strategies to address the risks
- Banking Operations
- Administration of banking documentation as required for Primark's banking relationships.
- Ownership of new bank account set ups as Primark expands into New Markets
- Support and upskill the Primark payments team on resolving payment issues, including engaging with banking partners and developing new processes.
- Assist the Bank Reconciliation team with external banking queries and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Maintain the buyer system FX rates and update in accordance with market changes.
- Issue weekly FX rates to stores and senior leadership.
- Support on Primark bank mandate maintenance and online banking portals.
- Support the GNFR and GFR teams in the maintenance of Direct Debits
- Purchase order set up and management for Treasury related charges
- Maintain and develop the excellent relationships Primark has with banking partners
- Reporting & Forecasting
- Support on developing and the production of the monthly Primark Treasury report
- Prepare forecasts and budgets for finance charges, income and expenses
- Execute period end tasks as required to ensure Treasury meet all ABF reporting requirements.
- Controls
- Ensure compliance with the Primark an ABF Treasury Policies, and support on future developments of the Primark Treasury Policy
- Support Internal Audit to ensure Treasury processes are consistently in line with the Group Financial Control Framework (FCF).
- Undertake EMIR reporting as required.
- Systems & Processes:
- Support the use of systems, process improvements and any future system implementations
- Identify opportunities for improved processes and controls.
- Play an active role in further system development, testing and implementation within Treasury.
Experience/Skills/Knowledge
- Desired Accounting (ACCA, ACA, CPA or equivalent)/Treasury (ACT) qualified/part-qualified preferred but not essential.
- Desired 3-5 years Treasury, Finance or Banking experience.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic and collaborative environment.
- Previous banking portal system experience an advantage.
- Ambitious self-starter with a positive can-do attitude.
- Attention to detail with excellent financial and analytical skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and capable of handling multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and manage key internal and external stakeholders and relationships.
- English is essential and other European languages would be an advantage.
