Supply Chain Planning Analyst

Purpose of role:
This person will be working within the Supply Chain Strategy & Development team, working on exciting assignments to enhance our data and analysis.

The role will involve extensive evaluation of data using Excel, Tableau, Alteryx, Teradata SQL and specialist applications (training provided) to aid in the production of useful insights that will inform tactical and strategic decision making.

Reports to: Senior Network Strategy Analyst – Supply Chain Strategy & Development
Based: Islip or Reading, occasional travel
Duration: Permanent Role

Key Responsibilities:
• To assist the Senior Supply Chain Analyst in producing analytical insights that help drive the near and long term future of the Supply Chain landscape
• To learn and develop the skills required for successfully supporting the team
• To build, update and troubleshoot datasets to drive insights
• To use specialist software to maintain, interact and eventually develop self-serving reporting tools.
• To research, discover and retrieve data from a myriad of proprietary systems.
• To define and undertake ad-hoc tasks on request
• To undertake a variety of administrative tasks as required
• To aid in the maintenance and ongoing development of a digital model of the Primark Supply Chain Network
• To act as a ‘go to’ resource for members of the wider Supply Chain Strategy & Development Team with ad hoc queries to support the realisation of critical pipeline and in-flight Projects
Knowledge, skills experience:
• An aptitude and passion for producing insights through analysis including the curation of data and provision of value add commentary
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Able to work in a team and on own initiative
• Problem identification and solving skills
• Meticulous approach to detail and accuracy
• Time and workload management
• An ability to work under pressure
• Cultural awareness, sensitivity and confidentiality
• Have some knowledge of FMCG Supply Chain
• Working in a Systems / Warehouse Admin / Analytical space is desirable
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programmes including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
• Previous experience in Using Extract, Transform, Load tools desirable
• Previous experience in Data Visualisation desirable
• SQL knowledge an advantage
