Ethical Trade Administrator

Job Title: ET&ES Administrator – Technology & Systems
Reports To: Ethical Trade Executive – Operations
Team: Ethical Trade and Environmental Sustainability

Job-Type: Full time (Office based)

Purpose of the Role:
Ensure 100% accuracy and consistency of data uploaded into the Ethical Database and the Post Audit Letters which are sent

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Contributes to the implementation of Primark's Ethical Strategy for its suppliers and factories

• Provides insight, advice and solutions direct from the supply base

• Helps to communicate the company's ethical trading requirements throughout the supply base

• Amending Site status and links to Suppliers as needed

• Key administration tasks may also be required as per the direction of the Managers and Executives in the team but will be kept in line with your current level of responsibility

• Updates Primark systems and databases as required by role
• Encourages cross-team and cross functional interaction
• Provides support to suppliers, factories and workers to support them through the approval process and thereafter

• Effectively and efficiently help the team prioritize their work.

• Check source documents for accuracy in order of priority
• Produce and check Post Audit letters (PALS) to be sent out to Factories and Suppliers as required

• Prepare, compile and sort electronic documents (Audits) for uploading to the system in accordance with team priorities
• If required, request further information for incomplete documents
• Upload documents and update records in the system
• Check completed work for accuracy

Skills & Experience:
• Able to cope with the complexity of Primark's suppliers, factories.
• Able to cope with the diversity of cultures across the Primark ET Field Team
• Appreciates the bigger picture of the audit program and its’ link into Primark as a Business
• Seeks opportunities for improvement/ change
• Can communicate with internal and external stakeholders globally based, in a professional way
• Ability to work accurately and posses a strong attention to detail
• Accurate keyboard skills and proven ability to enter data at the required speed
• Knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures
• Takes ownership of tasks in a proactive manner.
• Experience of working in a team orientated, collaborative environment.
• . Experience in Ethical Trade or auditing Process (desired)
• Factory audit and remediation processes (e.g. SMETA, SA8000) (desired)
