Work directly with Group Director of Digital and Strategy, and Digital leadership team to drive strategic alignment and communication across the business. You will play a central role coordinating strategic digital business priorities, and leading special projects on behalf of the Digital leadership team. You will partner closely with key stakeholders across various functions, building trusting relationships whilst driving deliverables.

This exciting position will see a suitable candidate playing a pivotal role in deep diving into the Digital strategy, assessing its performance, imagining new capabilities, developing actionable insights and implementing processes to improve its effectiveness. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, presenting findings, projections and recommended actions to key stakeholders.

Duties & Responsibilities:
The Strategy and Innovation Manager will have the following responsibilities:
  • Support the Group Director of Digital & Strategy with high priority initiatives and deliverables related to the Digital strategy and Programme
  • Accountable for preparing materials, briefing documents, speaker notes
  • Act as a liaison across Digital leaders to ensure key project details, status, stakeholders, and budget are up to date for executive review
  • Working closely with leaders across the business to capture key milestones which will be communicated to the leadership team and key stakeholders
  • Develop compelling, data-driven communications including strategic decks and vision work for the function in partnership with the Digital leadership team
  • Identify key meetings and collaborate with the stakeholders to oversee logistics and prepare materials
  • Collaborate with the Communications department to ensure there is a clear cadence, format, and decisioning process on what and how to communicate both internally and externally
  • Keep abreast of the continually evolving digital retail landscape and consumer behaviours, bringing market insights, data and thought leadership into strategic planning to continually push the business forward
  • Work with digital leadership to assess and identify potential digital partners (e.g. in market intelligence, operations or technology)
  • Assess the Digital strategy and identify the potential strengths, risks and opportunities for improvement. Develop highly detailed plans based on this assessment and oversee the actions from concept through to delivery
  • Identify issues, develop hypotheses and communicate insights and recommendations to key decision makers
  • Take ownership of selected special projects within the digital roadmap, coordinating key subject matter experts across the business to deliver solutions and opportunities for growth
  • Build effective working relationships with key stakeholders, including Digital leaders, to drive the delivery of strategy. Focus on engaging senior leaders to support, shape and deliver the overall strategy whilst encouraging leaders to own and take action in this regard
Skills & Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience, ideally in corporate strategy, management consulting and/or a similar role
  • Experience garnering insights to identify business opportunities and inform corporate, marketing and operational strategies
  • Consulting experience with storytelling, storyboarding and putting together exec level presentations
  • Experience in dealing with strategic challenges posed by a growing retail business, fashion specific experience a bonus
  • Ability to comfortably dive into any area of the business or product, understand business needs, and facilitate executive decisions based on changing priorities
  • Exceptional communication and relationship management skills
  • Ability to think creatively and work independently to proactively solve problems
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively to audiences of varying levels of seniority.
  • Thrives when working in a fast-paced environment and enjoys tackling ambiguous problems.
  • Expert stakeholder management, influencing and storytelling/communication skills, both verbal and written - able to convey complex information in a concise manner to facilitate decision making
  • Extremely strong written, slide preparation and spoken skills to present ideas and actions with clarity
  • Proven track record of project managing complex cross-functional projects while maintaining an efficient plan, tracking issues, and proactively communicating progress against project milestones; high attention to detail
