Meet Kerry. Merchandiser.

It’s my job to forecast sales and manage stock flow for the health and beauty department in the US, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, France and Italy.

It’s about managing choice and availability of product in our stores and responding quickly to trends and customer demand in the most profitable way. You need to think on your feet because of the fast pace here. You can’t be precious – your ‘To Do’ list is never the same and is never complete because you’re constantly reacting to what’s happening in the world of fashion.

All working together

I work closely with the Buying and Retail teams to build a commercial and profitable range. They rely on our forecasting skills and commercial awareness to support the delivery of our ranges. We plan each range in partnership and are constantly learning, as well as having a few healthy debates along the way. We use our combined skills to drive our offer forward and make decisions based on the lessons learnt from previous seasons and what’s happening now to plan for the future.

Looking after multiple regions is made possible with the support of our commercial teams on the ground and we rely on their feedback to understand what’s happening in their markets.

Industry Leaders

It’s such a fast-paced industry in-which we are constantly evolving. Speed to market is key and our customer expects us to deliver yesterday. Our customers are just as passionate about the product as we are creating it. They are using social media constantly to share their fashion hauls which has significantly increased the profile of our beauty range and ultimately the emphasis on my role.

Our beauty range has grown so fast that in some areas we are now called out as industry leaders and not followers with innovative ideas delivered with speed to the shop floor. It’s our job to use our planning skills and commercial awareness to get things delivered in the right way at the right time.

Our customers are just as passionate about the product as we are creating it.

Always changing

You never get bored here because it’s constantly evolving to meet customer demands. When I first joined the business I was excited and stunned at the pace but the amazing team I worked with helped me adapt. It had the strong team relationships and the camaraderie I was looking for.

Now, four years on, it continues to grow into an even more amazing Brand. The space around us has transformed with us and in 2015 our new Head Office was opened. The open planned modern office encourages creativity and is full of energy, representing exactly who we are.
