In this role you will bring the Primark strategy, purpose, values, and behaviours to life in an engaging and inspiring way for all colleagues in our UK market. You will act as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to key stakeholders in the UK. You will create compelling content and memorable stories to enhance colleague connection, pride and belonging.

What You’ll Do:
In your role, you’ll collaborate with different people across a range of skillsets. Here’s a flavour of your day-to-day:
  • Partner with the Global Internal Communications and Engagement team to design and deliver an impactful comms & engagement strategy for the UK market that ensures our UK colleagues are our biggest fans and brand advocates.
  • Be a strategic advisor to UK stakeholders, including senior leadership, to develop and deliver a consistent narrative for all colleagues aligned with Primark’s overall business strategy, purpose, values, and behaviours.
  • Ensure key global campaigns and initiatives are communicated and embedded across the UK market including brand, products, diversity and inclusion, CSR, sustainability, and wellbeing.
  • Create compelling and engaging content for internal communications channels, including our colleague app Zing, email, video and townhalls, telling our Primark story in a way that builds a genuine sense of community, connection, pride and belonging.
  • Support UK stakeholders including leaders and our People & Culture team with communications & engagement initiatives around our colleague survey including results and action planning.
  • Work with relevant stakeholders and teams to deliver change and crisis communications within the UK market.
  • Partner with our Internal Comms & Engagement Channel team to measure and report the performance and impact of communications campaigns and initiatives, using these insights to make data-led decisions and recommendations.
  • Build and maintain great relationships with all relevant stakeholders across Primark.
  • Ensure alignment with brand and tone of voice guidelines across all communication activities.
  • Collaborate effectively with external partners and agencies that support the delivery of the internal comms and engagement agenda.

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum 3-4 years’ experience of developing and delivering large scale, multi-channel internal communication and engagement strategies.
  • Exceptional communicator with an ability to translate complex business materials into compelling content for a range of internal communications channels.
  • Passionate and creative storyteller, skilled at developing engaging and memorable content.
  • A talent for devising innovative ways to engage and motivate colleagues.
  • Creative, innovative, agile and solution focused with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong ability to prioritise while managing multiple projects.
  • A brilliant team player, who can build and maintain excellent relationships across all levels of the business.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Proactive, self-starter with strong initiative
  • Knowledge of internal communications trends and best practice.
