What You’ll Do as Transformation Lead

In your role, you’ll collaborate with different people across a range of skillsets. Here’s a flavour of your day-to-day:

  • Lead and own the end-to-end People & Culture (P&C) transformation portfolio, ensuring strategic alignment, prioritisation, and successful delivery across all HR workstreams.
  • Provide senior leadership to the HR Transformation Lead and programme teams, balancing strategic oversight with hands-on delivery during critical phases.
  • Partner closely with executive and senior stakeholders to shape strategy, resolve complex issues, and drive timely decision-making.
  • Oversee the design, integration, and adoption of HR processes, policies, operating model changes, and new HR systems and payroll solutions.
  • Establish and manage robust governance, reporting, risk management, and cross-programme coordination across multiple initiatives.
  • Drive clarity, accountability, and delivery discipline across a large, multi-functional team while guiding the organisation through complex change.

What You’ll Bring  

Here at Primark, we want everyone to feel valued – so please bring your authentic self to work, of course with some other key experience and abilities for this role in particular: 

  • Extensive experience delivering large‑scale, enterprise HR transformations across multiple projects or programmes.
  • Strong senior‑level presence with the confidence to engage, influence, and appropriately challenge executive stakeholders.
  • Proven experience leading and coordinating large teams (20–30 people) and driving delivery in complex organisational environments.
  • Strong end‑to‑end understanding of people systems, payroll, and core HR processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cross‑programme dependencies, risks, and wider organisational impacts effectively.
  • Hands‑on leadership approach, comfortable working in detail and supporting teams through fast‑paced delivery, complemented by strong communication, relationship‑building, and problem‑solving skills.
