What You’ll Do as a Product Assurance Specialist
As Primark’s Product Assurance Specialist, you will ensure the validity of product claims related to certified and preferred materials, working on strategic projects and collaborating with various teams, including buying, suppliers, legal, and central reporting. You will support sustainability initiatives, manage digital certification processes, and oversee team members in sourcing countries. Additionally, you will monitor competition and build industry relationships. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for thriving in this global, multi-location role.
In your role, you’ll collaborate with different people across a range of skillsets. Here’s a flavour of your day-to-day:

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, especially Buying teams and Suppliers, to align on sustainable business priorities.
  • Develop and facilitate training on sustainable materials and Primark Cares protocols for colleagues and suppliers.
  • Ensure Primark Cares Branded Products adhere to protocols, and advise the Brand team on accurate communications.
  • Raise non-compliance issues through proper governance channels and monitor industry movements and competitors.
  • Guide suppliers in converting raw materials to sustainable alternatives and support the digital systemisation of certification processes.
  • Promote inclusivity, collaboration, and efficient communication across global teams, fostering a supportive and unified work environment.
What You’ll Bring
Here at Primark, we want everyone to feel valued – so please bring your authentic self to work, of course with some other key experience and abilities for this role in particular:
  • Sustainability and Certification: 2-3 years of experience in sustainability with a focus on certification of sustainable materials, or 3-5 years in product manufacturing and project delivery.
  • Analytical and Communication Skills: Strong analytical skills, proficient in Microsoft Office, and excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Organisational and Initiative: Effective in developing project plans, demonstrating initiative, and working independently with a strong work ethic.
  • Commercial Instinct and Emotional Intelligence: Ability to understand commercial implications, communicate effectively, and identify risks and opportunities.
  • Agility and Integrity: Capable of working in an agile environment, maintaining calm under pressure, and ensuring non-compliance issues are addressed efficiently.
