Ethical Trade and Environmental Sustainability at Primark

The Ethical Trade Executive (Central Support) is the interface between our global Ethical Trade Team and our Head office Teams (e.g. Buying and Sourcing). This role is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of Primark Ethical Trade Programme, including communicating factoring audit results and approvals.

What You’ll do:
We want you to feel challenged and inspired. Here, you’ll develop your skills across a range of responsibilities:

Support Ethical Audit Programme Operations: Assist in the day-to-day management of Primark’s ethical audit programme, including actioning audit ratings and suspensions, and communicating key updates across the business.
  • Factory Audit Oversight: Work closely with our regional teams to monitor the ethical audit programme, ensuring effective onboarding and offboarding of sites is completed in line with Primark and ACT’s standards and responsible exit protocols.
  • Cross-Functional Ethical Trade Support: Provide day-to-day guidance and support on ethical trade issues to teams across Sourcing, Buying, Procurement, and Supply Chain.
  • Process Documentation and SOP Management: Ensure all ethical trade processes are clearly documented and regularly updated, including version-controlled SOPs, to support a “best in class” audit programme.
  • Project Management: Lead or support the planning, coordination, and delivery of key projects within the ETES function, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder expectations are effectively manage


What you'll bring

  • At least 2 years of experience in Sustainability (ideally Ethical Trade), preferably within retail or manufacturing in a matrixed business environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
  • Self-starter with a results-driven approach in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable with Microsoft tools and using various IT platforms for data handling and managing reporting.
  • Good communication skills, able to present to others with confidence.
  • Collaborative team player that enjoys working with colleagues globally at all levels.
  • Experience of stakeholder management across a matrixed, global business.
