As part of our continued to commitment to sustainability and our desire to deliver “Amazing Fashion and Amazing Prices”, Primark are building a new Packaging Centre of Expertise that will sit in Central Functions.  The C.o.E. will be a key function in delivering and supporting the Primark Cares business sustainability strategy.  The C.o.E. will work very closely with the brand team who focus on packaging “look and feel”.  


What You’ll Do as a Packaging & Labelling Coordinator

In your role, you’ll collaborate with different people across a range of skillsets. Here’s a flavour of your day-to-day:   

  • Partner with Buying and QA during product development to define packaging and labelling requirements and ensure accurate product information.
  • Collaborate with the Packaging Centre of Excellence and Packaging Technologists to identify, review, and implement technical packaging solutions.
  • Maintain and update packaging and labelling guidelines, ensuring accuracy for internal teams and suppliers, with support from Compliance where needed.
  • Ensure all packaging claims, trademarks, and mandatory information are fully approved and legally compliant across all markets.
  • Work closely with the Brand Artwork team to brief and develop new packaging concepts in line with stakeholder requirements and agreed processes.
  • Support cross‑functional teams on packaging quality, continuous improvement, supplier guidance, and execution of the wider Packaging CoE strategy.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience in a packaging role (retail industry experience preferred), with strong knowledge of packaging regulations and compliance.
  • Effective collaborator able to influence stakeholders in a matrix environment and build strong relationships across all levels.
  • Thrives in a fast‑paced, dynamic setting with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset and strong organisational skills.
  • Excellent communicator with persuasive presentation skills and high emotional intelligence, able to push back professionally.
  • Familiarity with the buying process, NPD, and managing multilingual packaging/translation workflows across markets.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership qualities—energy, integrity, sound judgement—with the ability to coach, innovate, and drive cross‑functional teamwork.
