The Platform Product Manager will be accountable for defining and delivering the Security & Risk functions platform / product strategy, focusing on rationalisation of current capabilities and identification and design of future requirements. The role will work closely with the architecture and infrastructure teams along with security to ensure the right platforms / products are deployed and maintained, maximizing value while always looking over the horizon for future options.

What You’ll Do as a Platform Product Manager Security & Risk
We want you to feel challenged and inspired. Here, you’ll develop your skills across a range of responsibilities:
  • Own the creation and implementation of the organization’s security platform strategy, ensuring alignment with business needs.
  • Own and manage the product backlog. Drive initiatives to improve ease of use for platform consumers. Ensure integration with third-party tools and systems is seamless.
  • Collaborate with engineering partners to resolve issues and optimise performance. Define and monitor SLAs for uptime, performance, and reliability.
  • Work with the GRC team to build a strategy and identify product opportunities to automate and streamline risk management and control testing activities.
  • Maximise existing product investments and identify opportunities to reduce complexity and cost.
  • Monitor industry trends, ensuring we remain current with our approach.
  • Own and manage relationships with key partners and technology providers, influencing their product roadmaps where it benefits Primark.
  • Build strong relations across technology, ensuring always included in the assessment and choice of group platforms.
  • Support infrastructure solution selection and deployment that provide security benefits and support the mitigation of risk.
  • Continually assess Primark technical security posture looking for opportunities to reduce risk and implement / automate controls.
  • Support the Technology Design Authority and relevant Architectural Governance Boards.
What You’ll Bring

  • Proven professional experience in IT infrastructure, cloud and cyber security.
  • Significant experience in a similar role developing product and platform roadmaps, performing technical assessments and undertaking R&D.
  • Good knowledge of cyber security industry, products and service trends.
  • Extensive knowledge of current cyber security threat types and potential mitigation controls.
  • Breadth and depth of knowledge of standards such as NIST, MITRE, OWASP.
  • Capability of discussing technical issues in a non-technical way.
  • Strong understanding of the business relevance of security risks.
  • Pro-active, with the ability and confidence to drive forward discussions, co-ordinate activities, make judgements and take decisions.
