About you

If you’re an undergraduate looking for a 12 month placement before you head back to university for your final year, we’d love to hear from you. If you’re in your last year at university or have already graduated, head back to the careers website to find other roles across the business. 

What you’ll need

You have a genuine connection and interest in numbers and figures, an eye for detail and a real awareness of timelines — even when the pressure is on. You’ll use your curiosity to get to know our network of professionals and drive excellence. You won’t be short of initiative either. In fact, you’ll be happy to handle your own workload with the support of others. If you’re studying Fashion, Business Management, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or a Commercial based degree, the Primark placement in Merchandising is the perfect fit for you.

What you’ll do

After induction, you’ll get stuck into sales and stock monitoring, solving data inaccuracies, and producing analysis reports. You’ll learn about a department by doing real work with your teams on tasks and projects.

You’ll strengthen relationships and share your ideas at team meetings, grow what you know at masterclasses, and have regular catch ups with your assigned buddy and line manager to support your development. So when you present to your Director at the end of your placement, you won’t be short of things to say.
