This role ensures high-quality, commercially focused delivery that enhances customer experience, supports store performance, and enables the business to execute projects more efficiently and at pace.
Operating at a mid-senior level, the Projects & CFE drives consistency, governance, and innovation across all roll outs and CFE activity, unlocking efficiencies, reducing costs, and minimising disruption to trading stores while maintaining exceptional brand and safety standards.
In your role, you’ll collaborate with different people across a range of skillsets. Here’s a flavour of your day-to-day:
- Set the strategic direction for roll-outs and CFE programmes across the estate, aligning delivery with business priorities, capital plans and growth ambitions while establishing a consistent, scalable approach.
- Lead a high-volume, multi-site portfolio of projects, including store roll-outs, CFE, fixtures, equipment, retail environments and branding programmes, ensuring delivery to agreed timelines, budgets, quality and brand standards.
- Own the end-to-end delivery of CFE programmes, from technical drawings, prototyping and testing through to implementation and estate-wide deployment, balancing pace with minimal disruption to trading stores.
- Partner closely with Design and key business functions to translate new retail concepts, fixtures, displays and shop-in-shop solutions into scalable, operationally effective and commercially viable solutions.
- Drive strong commercial and cost management, challenging specifications, delivery models, component selection and supplier performance to improve value, efficiency and return on investment without compromising quality, safety or customer experience.
- Develop and manage a high-performing supply base, working closely with Procurement on sourcing, supplier onboarding, commercial negotiations and performance across fixtures, equipment, branding and retail environment solutions.
- Lead effective governance and continuous improvement, embedding robust health & safety, risk management and compliance while identifying opportunities to improve speed, scalability, sustainability and overall delivery efficiency.
- Provide strong, inclusive leadership and cross-functional collaboration, building effective relationships across Property, Construction, Retail, Space Optimisation, Design, Equipment and external partners. Develop team capability, accountability and commercial awareness while creating alignment around shared priorities and outcomes.
