What You’ll Do as Image Librarian

In your role, you’ll collaborate with different people across a range of skillsets. Here’s a flavour of your day-to-day:  

• Support the maintenance, development, and continuous improvement of the Digital Asset Management (DAM) system, acting as the key point of contact for troubleshooting, best practices, user support, and system enhancements.
• Manage the full lifecycle of digital image assets, including ingestion, metadata tagging, taxonomy and search schema application, usage rights management, expiration tracking, and quality control of large asset volumes.
• Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining strong communication, trusted partnerships, and delivering support to a diverse range of DAM users across the business.
• Troubleshoot product image issues, perform minor retouching and image editing when required, and manage multiple priorities and campaigns while meeting critical deadlines.
• Oversee all imagery across Primark, including product, studio, creative, and campaign assets, ensuring accuracy, consistency, quality, and operational excellence.
• Drive quality enhancement initiatives, foster a culture of ownership and accountability, and ensure the delivery of targets while continuously seeking improved outcomes and efficiencies.
• Align priorities and planning with Primark’s long-term objectives, considering commercial impacts, business outcomes, people implications, multiple options, and broader market developments when making decisions.
• Generate innovative ideas, encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing, build trust and credibility across Primark, and inspire commitment to shared goals through passion, influence, and strong leadership.

What You’ll Bring

• Demonstrated experience working within a DAM, managing metadata and all digital assets
• Understanding of photography, retouching, creative and production processes common in agencies and digital media organizations
• Knowledge of Photoshop, colour profiles, file and image sizes
• Knowledge of relevant media and broadcast metadata and file formats
• Excellent and diplomatic communication skills
• Excellent visual comprehension and eye for detail
• A solution-oriented mindset
