What You’ll Do as a Senior Ethical Trade Executive – Global Ethical Assurance AUDIT

In your role, you’ll collaborate with different people across a range of skillsets. Here’s a flavour of your day-to-day:   

• Act as the key interface between Regional Ethical Trade teams across China, India, Bangladesh, Turkey, the UK, and South-East Asia, ensuring effective collaboration with Buying and Sourcing teams.
• Support the Head of Ethical Trade with the day-to-day delivery of Central Support activities across the main range business.
• Drive communication and coordination across global teams to ensure ethical trade standards are consistently implemented and maintained throughout the supply chain.
• Help safeguard the people who make our products by supporting social, environmental, and structural compliance initiatives across sourcing regions.
• Partner with colleagues across the business, embracing Primark's "One Team" approach to achieve shared ethical trade and commercial objectives.
• Contribute to Primark's commitment to delivering amazing fashion at amazing prices by maintaining high standards of governance, rigor, responsible sourcing, and ethical business practices.

What You’ll Bring   

Here at Primark, we want everyone to feel valued – so please bring your authentic self to work, of course with some other key experience and abilities for this role in particular: 

• Proven experience in Corporate Responsibility, Ethical Trade, Responsible Sourcing, and factory audit/remediation programmes, including SA8000 Advanced standards, within a matrix-based business environment.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with a track record of engaging suppliers, factories, workers, buyers, sourcing teams, third-party auditors, and external stakeholders globally.
• Highly organised, results-driven self-starter with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage the complexities of large-scale supplier and factory networks across diverse cultures.
• Expert in data management, reporting databases, audit management systems, and other IT tools, ensuring data integrity and the availability of ethically approved factories.
• Process-oriented mindset with the ability to identify improvement opportunities, implement change initiatives, and develop innovative solutions that enhance ethical trade programmes and worker welfare.
• Sound judgement and decision-making skills, balancing commercial and ethical priorities while managing risk, driving worker welfare improvements, and acting as the key interface between suppliers, factories, workers, buyers, and other stakeholders.
• Ability to provide proactive guidance and expert advice to buyers, suppliers, and factories, while collaborating effectively with Ethical Trade teams and colleagues across multiple locations and functions.
