What You’ll Do

 

We want you to feel challenged and inspired. Here, you’ll develop your skills across a range of responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of stores/areas, ensuring accurate data input, payroll preparation, and completion of all checklist tasks.
  • Carry out both first‑stage payroll output audits and second‑stage checks on payroll associate input/output to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Support payroll associates through training, guidance, and buddy responsibilities, while collaborating closely with other payroll advisors.
  • Complete post‑payroll administrative tasks, including managing queries, maintaining trackers and calendars, and preparing data for audits.
  • Participate in cross‑department meetings, supporting Payroll Specialists on calls and recording minutes where required.
  • Work flexibly to meet deadlines and gradually take on additional responsibilities across wider team tasks.

What You’ll Bring

  • Up to 2 years’ payroll experience in an international market or UK/NI payrolls, supported by a CIPP qualification (or equivalent).
  • Strong alignment with Primark’s values, demonstrating integrity, transparency, and high ethical standards.
  • A positive, collaborative team player with strong customer service skills and the maturity to know when to escalate issues.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with stakeholders across the business.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and solid intermediate‑level Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Motivated to deliver high‑quality work, identify process improvements, and maintain accuracy in a fast‑paced environment.
