As a Technology Delivery Lead, you will orchestrate delivery across a platform or product sub-domain, ensuring outcomes through effective planning and dependency management. You will lead complex, multi-team delivery across business and technology areas. Reporting to a Technology Delivery or Product/Platform Manager, you will play a key role in delivering impactful change.


What You’ll Do as Digital Delivery Lead

In your role, you’ll collaborate with different people across a range of skillsets. Here’s a flavour of your day-to-day:

  • Lead end-to-end delivery orchestration for a defined Technology or Business platform / Product sub-domain (e.g. POS, Integration, Connectivity, Digital Transact), owning and maintaining a single, transparent delivery plan with clearly identified dependencies across multiple teams.
  • Coordinate cross-team execution and dependencies, ensuring full visibility of work, proactively managing internal and external dependencies, and facilitating prioritisation and sequencing to deliver changes in a structured, aligned manner.
  • Drive governance, reporting and delivery performance, including running platform/product governance forums, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, and actively resolving delivery impediments and blockers through ‘team of teams’ collaboration.
  • Enable effective stakeholder alignment and delivery feasibility, working closely with Product, Technology, and Business stakeholders (Heads of, Managers, Product Owners, Architects) to support transparent discussions on delivery timelines, risks, and outcomes.
  • Manage delivery resources and financials, including ownership of the resource profile (internal and external) and day-to-day operational management of the platform/product change budget (typically £2m–£6m) in partnership with the Tech Portfolio team.
  • Ensure risk, audit, and control compliance, by engaging with Governance, Risk & Controls teams to proactively identify, plan, and integrate risk and audit activities into the delivery roadmap, within a complex, multi-team environment without direct line management responsibility.

What You’ll Bring  

Here at Primark, we want everyone to feel valued – so please bring your authentic self to work, of course with some other key experience and abilities for this role in particular: 

  • 5+ years’ Delivery Management experience with a proven track record of successfully delivering high-quality outcomes in complex, cross-functional environments.
  • Strong knowledge of retail technologies and domains, with desirable experience across areas such as Supply Chain, Planning & Trading, Sourcing & ESG, Digital, or Store Operations.
  • Expertise in delivery methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, PMI) with strong planning, facilitation, and problem-solving skills to anticipate risks and drive resolution.
  • Proven ability to manage suppliers in multi-vendor environments, including contract negotiation, performance management, and delivery accountability.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels (including Head of level) and clearly translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration mindset, with the ability to orchestrate cross-functional teams, foster innovation, challenge the status quo, and ideally supported by relevant certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, APM, Scrum, SAFe).
