What You’ll Do as Project Manager

In your role, you’ll collaborate with different people across a range of skillsets. Here’s a flavour of your day-to-day:

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of complex technology projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and adherence to governance, architecture, engineering, service, cyber, and compliance standards.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans and budgets, tracking progress, actuals, forecasts, risks, issues, and dependencies to maintain control and ensure successful delivery.
  • Partner with senior business and technology leaders to define objectives, share concise updates, escalate decisions, and influence outcomes with insight and foresight.
  • Oversee day-to-day project operations while assuring the quality of deliverables and meeting stakeholder expectations.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop multi-disciplinary teams, building strong relationships across business, technology, and external vendors to resolve conflicts and achieve project goals.
  • Establish KPIs and metrics to measure success and benefits realisation, ensuring vendors meet contractual quality and timeline commitments.

What You’ll Bring  

Here at Primark, we want everyone to feel valued – so please bring your authentic self to work, of course with some other key experience and abilities for this role in particular: 

  • 5+ years of proven project management experience, consistently delivering high‑quality outcomes within defined scope, timelines, budgets, and standards.
  • Skilled in core delivery methodologies including Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and PMI-aligned practices, with strong planning, facilitation, and problem‑solving capabilities.
  • Experienced in multi‑supplier management, including contract negotiation, performance oversight, and coordination across complex delivery environments.
  • Strong leadership and influencing abilities, motivating cross‑functional teams to achieve complex objectives while fostering a collaborative, innovative culture.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, building trusted relationships at all levels and translating complex technical concepts for non‑technical audiences.
  • Industry awareness and domain knowledge, including retail technologies and trends, with desirable experience across key retail domains and professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, APM, Scrum, SAFe)
