What You’ll Do as a Product Technologist    

In your role, you’ll collaborate with different people across a range of skillsets. Here’s a flavour of your day-to-day:  

  • Deliver high-quality, safe, and compliant products by applying strong technical expertise and adhering to Primark quality standards and best practices.
  • Lead quality evaluation and approval processes (including risk assessment, Black Seal and Gold Seal), ensuring all products meet required standards.
  • Monitor returns, customer feedback, and testing data to identify risks, resolve quality issues, and drive continuous improvement across the product lifecycle.
  • Partner with suppliers, buying teams, and compliance functions to address quality challenges, improve performance, and drive cost and process efficiencies.
  • Conduct competitor benchmarking and stay informed on trends, innovations, and regulatory requirements to enhance product quality and performance.
  • Support supplier performance management through reporting, inspections, and engagement with sourcing and ethical teams.
  • Communicate effectively across stakeholders, influencing decision-making, supporting training initiatives, and representing Quality Assurance in meetings and strategic discussions.

  • Lead, coach, and develop team members through regular feedback, performance discussions, and tailored development plans.
  • Foster collaboration and fair decision-making, ensuring consistency and alignment across teams.
  • Deliver and support training initiatives, including Quality Academy programmes and best practice sample approval for QA, buying teams, and suppliers.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and updates to stakeholders on quality standards, testing manuals, and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with offshore quality teams and buying functions to resolve CFS rejections and identify new training opportunities to enhance capability across the business.
