The Fashion Communications Assistant supports the Global Fashion Communications PR team by managing daily operations across the press office, showroom and content studio, including samples, image databases and influencer activations. Working closely with teams across offices, they bring strong trend awareness and a creative yet commercial approach to a fast‑paced environment, ensuring smooth collaboration with internal departments and brand comms.
What You’ll Do as a Fashion Communication Assistant
In your role, you’ll collaborate with different people across a range of skillsets. Here’s a flavour of your day-to-day:
- Manage online image banks, research collateral for press and trend activations, and create core PR materials including press releases, social media plans, event documents and briefings.
- Pitch to online/print media and influencers; manage gifting, seeding, goody bags, PR samples, and organise store appointments with media and agencies.
- Track, record and manage samples; file press materials; archive clippings; and monitor daily brand coverage via Kantar and internal systems.
- Compile fashion/news alerts, maintain comms calendars aligned with global marketing, and support delivery of PR strategies and global reporting.
- Assist with press events, in‑store events and influencer activations; maintain strong knowledge of 360 influencer marketing, paid campaigns, and evolving social platforms.
- Attend team meetings, manage the press office appearance and product updates, and stay informed on fashion trends, industry developments, celebrities and online community behaviour.

What You’ll Bring
We want every person in our organisation to feel like they’re making a key contribution. Here are some of the experiences and skills you’ll need for the role:
- Graduate with a fashion, PR or marketing qualification, with at least 1 year of experience in a PR agency or in‑house PR/Marketing team; strong interest in the social influencer landscape.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook, with additional advantage in Adobe Photoshop and InDesign.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), organised, flexible, detail‑oriented, and able to respond proactively and assertively to business needs.
- Enthusiastic learner with solid understanding of the global fashion industry, PR, the media landscape and influencer marketing, paired with excellent brand and fashion knowledge.
- Style‑conscious, creative thinker with a “Primark‑obsessed” mindset, a keen eye for detail and an ability to independently bring forward ideas.
- Highly proactive with a positive, can‑do attitude, demonstrating adaptability, collaboration and strong professional presence.
