About the Role

We are seeking a Business Analyst to join our Planning & Trading Technology team, supporting the delivery of smart retail ordering solutions across Forecasting, Allocation and Replenishment. Working closely with Product Owners, Technology teams and business stakeholders, you will help shape requirements, improve processes and deliver innovative solutions that optimise stock management and forecasting capabilities. What you'll do

• Partner with business stakeholders across Planning, Supply Chain, Technology and Trading teams to elicit, analyse and document detailed business requirements, ensuring all objectives, challenges and opportunities are clearly understood and translated into actionable deliverables.

• Own the creation and maintenance of user stories, epics, acceptance criteria and process documentation, working closely with Product Owners to ensure the product backlog is prioritised and aligned to business goals.

• Conduct current and future state process analysis, identifying gaps, inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement across forecasting, allocation and replenishment processes to help drive operational excellence.

• Collaborate with architects, developers, QA teams and other technology partners throughout the delivery lifecycle, ensuring solutions are designed and implemented in line with business requirements and strategic objectives.

• Facilitate workshops, stakeholder meetings and discovery sessions to build consensus, manage expectations and drive effective decision-making across both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Support end-to-end testing activities, including test scenario creation, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect resolution and validation of delivered functionality to ensure successful implementation and user satisfaction.

• Act as a key liaison between the business and technology teams, driving change management, user adoption and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring solutions deliver measurable business value.

What you'll bring

• Proven experience working as a Business Analyst within a retail, supply chain, merchandising or technology environment, with a strong track record of successfully delivering business and technology transformation initiatives.

• Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies, including experience working within Scrum or Kanban frameworks and collaborating closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters and development teams.

• Demonstrated ability to gather, document and manage complex business requirements, translating business needs into clear functional specifications, user stories and acceptance criteria.

• Experience analysing and improving business processes, with the ability to identify root causes, recommend solutions and drive process optimisation across multiple stakeholder groups.

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence, challenge and engage effectively with colleagues at all organisational levels, including senior leadership.

• Hands-on experience using tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence or similar platforms for backlog management, documentation, requirements tracking and delivery governance.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, combined with a structured approach to decision-making and a passion for delivering innovative technology solutions that improve business outcomes.
