This is a Retail Project lead role within Group Retail Operations. The role will be accountable for ensuring the ongoing, effective delivery, of multiple projects which contribute to Primark’s consistent evolution of its store operating model from current state toward the Store of the Future. The person will be responsible for upholding robust governance and ensuring transparency of progress on individual projects. The person will provide support and partnership to business leads in Retail ensuring suitable critical path is in place for each project. The person will also advise and support the business lead in the areas of stakeholder management, project approach and change management.

What You’ll Do:

In your role, you’ll collaborate with different people across a range of skillsets. Here’s a flavour of your day-to-day:

1. Create and manage the project plans for all designated workstreams within thecontext of the function, including tracking and quality control of outputs.
2. Advise business leads on initial project structure, critical path, design approach, change management and stakeholder management to ensure the business lead and each individual project is set up.
3. Identify and flag any risks to the critical path and/or budget and identify mitigating actions or escalating to the business lead as required.
4. Advise business leads on meeting rhythms and routines for the projects/pillars to ensure projects are within budget, on time and delivering desired outcomes.
5. Oversee the critical path, resources, budgets, risks, and interdependencies to keep each individual project on track.
6. Support the business lead in communicating project health and progress to key stakeholders through insightful and accurate reporting in a standardised way.
7. Support the plan of works in identifying the full range of interested or impacted stakeholders
8. Build effective, tailored, communication channels together with business leads allowing the Business Lead to update all stakeholder groups, when appropriate.

What You’ll Bring

1. Third level qualification in an associated discipline
2. Project Management Office experience.
3. Formal Project Management qualification.
4. Experience of using Project Management Tools e.g. Planview
5. Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships and collaborate across multi country, diverse and multi-functional teams to successfully drive business objectives
