This role is responsible for providing operational and creative support to the Social Media team by assisting in the execution of social content plans, managing day-to-day tasks, coordinating campaigns, and ensuring the timely scheduling and optimization of content across key social media platforms such as Instagram and TikTok. The role also involves leading the creation and execution of periodic product content briefs and serialized templated content.


What You’ll Do:

In your role, you’ll collaborate with different people across a range of skillsets. Here’s a flavour of your day-to-day:

  • Assist with the execution of social content plans, ensuring content is aligned with the brand’s tone of voice (TOV) and marketing objectives.
  • Lead the creation and execution of periodic product-focused content, ensuring it aligns with social media strategy and business marketing goals.
  • Take the lead in executing serialized templated content across key channels, ensuring consistency and creativity in delivering content that resonates with our audience on a recurring basis.
  • Support the day-to-day management of social media platforms, ensuring consistent brand messaging and fosters community nourishment opportunities across channels.
  • Help schedule and manage the timely publishing of content across social media platforms, ensuring all posts align with campaign timelines and content calendars.
  • Coordinate content production, including supporting the creation of photos, videos, and creative assets from third parties, ensuring they are optimized for each social platform.
  • Contribute to brand campaign executionfrom ideation to execution, contributing to marketing activities and ensuring smooth coordination from start to finish.

What You’ll Bring 

Here at Primark, we want everyone to feel valued – so please bring your authentic self to work, of course with some other key experience and abilities for this role in particular:

  • 2-3 years of experience in social media roles, ideally in retail, with a foundational understanding of content creation, campaign execution, and platform management.
  • Familiarity with social media management tools (e.g., Sprinklr) for scheduling, publishing, and campaign tracking, along with photo/video editing software (e.g., Photoshop, Canva, Premiere, CapCut).
  • A keen interest in social media trends, with the ability to assist with content creation, optimization, and scheduling for platforms like Instagram and TikTok.
  • Experience assisting with content creation and coordinating creative assets, ensuring that content is aligned with overall campaign goals and optimized for engagement.
  • Ability to assist with tracking campaign performance, compiling reports, and using insights to help refine future social media strategies.
  • An understanding of maintaining a consistent tone of voice (TOV) across all platforms and ensuring content aligns with the brand’s objectives.
