Area Manager Temporal

Purpose of role: Lead the Store Teams in order to maximise sales and optimise store standards and service within set budgets
Reports to: Head of Sales Spain
Based in: Madrid

An Area Manager’s job at Primark is unlike an Area Management job at any other retailer. Thanks to the sheer size and scale of Primark, they’re bigger – much, much bigger – than the norm.
You’ll be taking full responsibility for your area, with a team to lead and inspire and will lead the Store Management teams, enabling them to:

• Deliver the business vision and strategy to deliver maximum profitability.
• Demonstrate a clear understanding of customer needs with a relentless focus on delivering an outstanding customer experience.
• Empower, inspire and motivate the store teams to deliver and focus on continuous improvement.

You’ll take the lead in understanding our customers, bringing your team’s natural passion for great service to the surface and making sure every customer experience is perfect. Monitoring sales, supervising stock levels are in line with customer demand, making sure displays grab the attention and fostering a hardworking but fun environment in which your team members remain fully engaged will all be part of your role.

It’s not for the faint-hearted. You’ll be calling on all your retail experience. And you’ll be using your fantastic communication, networking and visual merchandising skills – and of course your commercial brain – every single day.

What we expect from a successful candidate:

• 3-5 years of store-based retail management experience
• 2 years of fashion value retail experience
• 5 years of team leadership experience
• University Degree (desirable)
• Fluent English language C1 level
• Availability to travel
