What You’ll Do

The Payroll Transformation manager is responsible for managing and supporting all change activity in the global payroll function. Ranging from small improvements to large-scale, multi-functional projects, the role is responsible for co-ordination of global payroll teams and protection of global standards. The role involves working closely with internal stakeholders and external country providers, and maintaining focus on the customer with our solutions. Activity includes but is not limited to detailed requirements gathering and testing, project management, and formulation or support in defining strategic objectives. It requires strong stakeholder engagement, project management, the ability to influence, and prioritisation in a fast-paced, customer focused retail environment.

In your role, you’ll collaborate with different people across a range of skillsets. Here’s a flavour of your day-to-day:

  • Build strong cross‑functional relationships across P&C, Technology, Finance, Payroll leadership, and market teams to support effective collaboration.

  • Represent payroll and integrate stakeholder input to shape the right solutions for Primark.

  • Provide clear project updates and maintain consistent reporting to all impacted stakeholders.

  • Drive disciplined project delivery by managing goals, timelines, and change activity independently or within cross‑functional teams.

  • Prioritise competing initiatives while keeping customer and colleague experience central to decision‑making.

  • Apply strong understanding of Primark’s global payroll model to act as a trusted partner and balance short‑ and long‑term solution needs.


What You’ll Bring

  • Experience and understanding of Primark would be beneficial.
  • Must have demonstrable experience of supporting and/or leading payroll projects and change on a scale equivalent to Primark.
  • Payroll knowledge across Primark geographies preferred but not essential.
  • Project management.
  • Strong stakeholder management.
