Ethical Trade and Environmental Sustainability at Primark

We're responsible for keeping an eye on Primark’s social and sustainability commitments as part of our Primark Cares strategy. Reporting to the Head of Ethical Trade Central Support, the Senior Ethical Trade Executive - Licensing will be responsible for managing and overseeing compliance with Disney and related brands' licensing requirements. This includes case management, supporting regional teams, and coordinating the audit, supplier and site approval process. Additionally, the role involves developing and implementing training and communication strategies for central support. Ultimately, this individual will ensure compliance standards are met, risks are minimised, and operational efficiency is enhanced.

What You’ll do:

We want you to feel challenged and inspired. Here, you’ll develop your skills across a range of responsibilities:

  • Ensure Licensing Compliance: Oversee and manage compliance with Disney and partner brands' licensing requirements across multiple regions.
  • Case Management: Manage key cases and investigations as required, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to standards.
  • Support Regional Teams: Collaborate with regional teams to ensure that FAMA deadlines, audit reviews, and site approval processes are met.
  • Supplier Engagement: Coordinate with suppliers to address issues, providing support for compliance with Primark and Disney's ethical standards.
  • FAMA Maintenance and Site Approvals: Oversee FAMA maintenance across multiple regions, managing the approval process for sites.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify and manage risks related to licensing and ethical compliance, ensuring that potential issues are addressed proactively to minimise impact on operations.
  • Training and Communications Strategy: Develop and implement the training and communications strategy, ensuring continuous upskilling to support colleagues across the business and reinforce ethical trade as a core value in all operations.

What you'll bring

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in ESG preferably within retail or manufacturing.
  • Experience managing a team directly (and indirectly) in a matrixed business.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
  • Self-starter with a results-driven approach in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in data handling and managing reporting with various IT tools.
  • Proven track record in stakeholder engagement and relationship building.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills with proven ability to lead and deliver projects.
  • Collaborative team player that enjoys working with colleagues globally at all levels.
