Purpose of the Role:

As Primark’s Traceability Operations Coordinator, reporting to the Traceability Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the general coordination and support for the Traceability Team. You will be part of a team that ensures the organisation’s compliance to all traceability requirements within the supply chain. This also includes ensuring that our Product adheres to Primark protocols in relation to sourcing preferred materials and their traceability through the supply chain. You will work closely with suppliers along with Internal and external traceability partners to support the Traceability strategy.

With team members based across multiple locations the ideal candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, thriving in a global work environment. They will be adaptable, proactive, and able to coordinate effectively across time zones, ensuring timely collaboration and maintaining productivity.
Duties & Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities of the role:
  • As an inherently cross-functional role, you will create close relationships with internal and external traceability Partners, particularly Primark’s Suppliers to support the Traceability strategy.
  • Support the traceability team to train, onboard and support suppliers to comply with Primark traceability requirements.
  • Act as the first point of contact with suppliers for traceability escalations and exception management.
  • Receive and respond to supplier traceability queries, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
  • Support suppliers in the use of a traceability tools functionalities.
  • Follow up with suppliers to ensure the quality and timeliness of the information they provide.
  • Assistance with the analysis of data collected and the monitoring of project progress.
  • Produce weekly updates and progress reports.
  • Create and maintain any SOP’s and documentation.
  • Organisation and scheduling of supplier meetings, workshops, conferences as required.
  • The successful candidate needs to manage multiple issues, engage multiple stakeholders and ensure these issues are resolved efficiently.
  • The role involves travel coordination, meeting schedules, presentations, preparation as required.

Knowledge, education, skills and experience:

Essential
  • Very strong verbal, listening, written, and presentation skills.
  • Have the ability to build strong relationships, both internally and externally.

  • Must be able to interact, collaborate and work efficiently and effectively with colleagues across the organisation, as well as off their own initiative.
  • Strong organisational skills, including effectiveness in developing project plans to achieve target dates.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programmes including Excel, Word, Project and PowerPoint.

  • Have the ability to manage own time, prioritise and be self-motivated.
  • Skilled in managing and interpreting large volumes of information.
