The role will be to support the Product Sustainability team to expand Primark’s sustainability credentials across all clothing segments of the business.

The role will be to support the Product Sustainability team to expand Primark’s sustainability credentials across all clothing segments of the business.
The main functions of the role are; but not limited to the following:
- Supporting the development of sustainable services linked to products.
- Effective management of customer/vendor data requests in relation to procurement.
- Work with supply chain partners in achieving key milestones in Primark Cares Product Sustainability Strategy. Development and communication of our sustainable product offering to guide and support customer/vendor decision making.
- To manage capacity planning and costing where applicable for programs such as Primark’s Sustainable Cotton Programme/ Recycled Cotton/ Recycled Polyester and other sustainable materials. With focus on spinning mills, this will be done in conjunction with supply chain, sourcing and the environmental team.
- Manage related product attributes, data management requirements, and product profiles.
- To work with supply chain, standardising yarns and fabrications for key product areas e.g Jersey/ Denim/Leisure with sustainable materials / processes.
- Research new material sources for fibre/ yarn/ fabric under the Primark Cares portfolio of sustainable material options.
- Research new technologies for sustainable materials and /or processes whether at fibre, yarn or fabric production level.
- Work with supply chain partners in understanding SOP’s and Ways of Working for Primark Cares and Product Circularity.
- The candidate needs min 5 years’ experience in the textile sector with a sound knowledge of sustainable materials, production methods and sourcing options. The candidate should have ideally a wide network within the textile industry across all sectors and will have previously held a managerial role in this position.
