As the Head of Service Delivery, you will lead all aspects of Service Delivery Management across the Primark Technology team. Reporting to the CTO, this role represents a great opportunity for the successful candidate to utilise their expertise and previous experience to bring best in class service management practices to Primark.
You will be responsible for ensuring that the Primark technology team which includes an extensive outsource perimeter delivers the best possible technology service to the wider Primark business.
You will act as the service conscience for Technology protecting the Primark business from introducing new technology or making changes to existing technology solutions which could present a material risk to the profitability or business operations of the business.

What You’ll Do:
In your role, you’ll collaborate with different people across a range of skillsets. Here’s a flavour of your day-to-day:
  1. You will continually seek out opportunities to improve and modernise the way
in which service is delivered aligning the product ways of working to the service delivery management model.
  1. The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of Technology Platforms and Head of Strategic supplier Partnerships to ensure that all Technology colleagues and partners have absolute clarity on their responsibilities to deliver a service first culture.
  2. A key deliverable will be the successful implementation of a more modern and fit for future service management framework that marries the right level of centralised control and local empowerment to ensure that service is not compromised whilst the pace of change is optimised.
  3. Ensure that there is a singular way of working across all partners and ensure partners understand how they contribute to end to end success.

What You’ll Bring
Here at Primark, we want everyone to feel valued – so please bring your authentic self to work, of course with some other key experience and abilities for this role in particular:
  1. A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a complex IT environment, with at least 3-5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing Service Delivery.
  2. Experience of delivering service across a heavily outsource technology landscape ideally within the retail industry.
  3. An ability to lead through challenging times in a high-pressure environment demonstrating resilience and calm
  4. Strong knowledge and understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices. Experience with Agile and traditional project management frameworks is desirable.
  5. Excellent leader and trusted advisor with extensive experience of developing senior business relationships and shaping and underpinning business strategies.
