As P&C Advisor you will deliver first class advisory service to the management team and colleagues at based in Islip. You will endure all P&C related matters are managed in line with Company policy and best practice, and ensure fairness and consistent across all P&C related activities. You will also design and roll out P&C related projects across the Islip site.

What You’ll Do:
We want you to feel challenged and inspired. Here, you’ll develop your skills across a range of responsibilities:
  • Partnership and Guidance: Collaborate with Islip’s P&C Business Partner to provide top-tier P&C services, and support and coach the management team on all people-related matters.
  • Policy and Legislation: Advise managers on P&C policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with UK employment legislation.
  • Employee Relations: Manage investigations and complex employee relation issues, ensuring best practice standards are met.
  • Talent Development: Support line managers in identifying, nurturing, and developing talent, using effective succession planning tools.
  • Communication and Recognition: Ensure effective internal communication, encourage two-way conversations, and work with managers to recognize and reward colleagues appropriately.

What You’ll Bring
Here at Primark, we want everyone to feel valued – so please bring your authentic self to work, of course with some other key experience and abilities for this role in particular:
  • Experience and Knowledge: Previous HR advisory experience in logistics or industrial environments, with strong UK employment law knowledge and practical application, plus experience with Payroll and T&A systems.
  • Skills and Competencies: Ability to work collaboratively, mentor and coach line managers, manage projects, and demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Attributes: High level of accuracy, attention to detail, initiative, and the ability to challenge the status quo, along with strong organizational skills and confidentiality.
  • Personal Qualities: Self-motivated, energetic, enthusiastic, and able to travel as required.
  • Technical and Educational Background: HR qualification (or working towards it), A-level education, and knowledge in employee engagement, relations, L&D, and HR systems and reporting.
