What You’ll Do

We want you to feel challenged and inspired. Here, you’ll develop your skills across a range of responsibilities:

  • Deliver expert legal advice that drives the best commercial and legal outcomes across retail, digital, operations, and technology projects, including business-critical transformation initiatives.
  • Lead contract negotiations by drafting and reviewing a wide range of commercial agreements, partnering with stakeholders and external counsel when needed.
  • Collaborate across the business to build strong relationships with teams in retail, technology, digital, marketing, finance, people & culture, and supply chain.
  • Influence key decisions by providing strategic legal input to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Shape a high-performing legal team, taking responsibility for delegation, mentoring, and team development.

Stay ahead of regulatory changes and evolving case law, ensuring compliance and supporting Primark’s ambitious growth plans, while managing external legal support, timelines, and budgets effectively.


What You’ll Bring  

Here at Primark, we want everyone to feel valued – so please bring your authentic self to work, of course with some other key experience and abilities for this role in particular:

  • Qualified lawyer with at least 7-10 years PQE from a leading law firm or in-house legal department
  • Strong commercial contact drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Experience coordinating and managing large projects and contributing to their success.
  • History of developing effective working relationships and influencing across all levels of a busy organisation
  • Familiarity preparing a legal strategy and navigating complex issues.
  • International experience or experience working in the fashion or retail sectors is a plus.
