Purpose of the Role:

As Sourcing Manager – Data, Analytics & Reporting, you will play a pivotal role in transforming how we use data to drive supplier performance, sourcing decisions, and risk mitigation across our global sourcing function.

This role is accountable for managing all data elements within the vendor scorecard, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and usability to inform supplier selection, performance evaluation, and strategic sourcing decisions.

You will lead the development of reporting frameworks, analytics tools, and data platforms that support strategic decision-making and operational excellence across the Sourcing, Quality & Compliance teams. This position is central to enabling data-led sourcing strategies, improving supplier transparency, and embedding automation and standardisation across reporting processes.

This role combines strategic sourcing expertise with advanced data analytics to optimise supplier performance, cost modelling, and improve supply chain efficiency.

You will manage a team of Sourcing Specialists and partner with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure sourcing decisions are backed by actionable insights.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage all data elements within the vendor scorecard, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timely updates to support supplier performance evaluation and sourcing decisions.
  • Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reporting tools to track supplier performance, sourcing KPIs, and compliance metrics.
  • Partner with Category, Quality, and Compliance teams to analyse supplier data and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Lead the development and implementation of standardised reporting frameworks, including vendor scorecards and performance metrics.
  • Drive automation of recurring reports and dashboards to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Manage and enhance sourcing data platforms, ensuring data integrity, usability, and scalability.
  • Identify future data and technology needs to support evolving sourcing and compliance requirements.
  • Support the development of supplier segmentation models and risk indicators to inform sourcing strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of data strategy with broader business objectives.
  • Champion data quality, governance, and best practices across Sourcing, Quality & Product Compliance functions.
  • Provide training and support to regional teams on analytics tools and reporting standards.

  • Coordinate and facilitate seamless communication and collaboration among team members in different time zones, ensuring efficient workflows and clear expectations.
  • Act as a coach and mentor for the team, enabling them to take ownership of their careers and supporting them to drive their own development
  • Generate enthusiasm and commitment within the team and across Primark to shared outcomes
  • Prioritise and manage competing matters utilising a team approach whilst maintaining high and consistent standards

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • 5-8 years of relevant experience in Sourcing, Vendor Management or Supply Chain operations, ideally within the retail, apparel or consumer goods sectors.
  • A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in data-drive roles within sourcing/vendor management/supply chain operations.
  • Proven track record in developing and maintaining supplier performance dashboards, vendor scorecards, and sourcing reports.
  • Proven experience in managing vendor scorecard data and leveraging it for supplier performance evaluation and sourcing decisions.
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills with advanced proficiency in Excel and experience using BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Experience working with global supplier bases and vendor management teams, with a solid understanding of sourcing processes and supplier lifecycle management.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of ethical sourcing, sustainability, and compliance frameworks in the retail & fashion sectors.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects and collaborate effectively in a matrixed environment.
