Primark has an updated business strategy called “Primark 2030 – The Next Chapter” with significant financial ambition over the next 6 years coupled with growth across our trading channels. Whilst doing this we need to continue to focus on our colleagues, customers, the planet and evolving regulatory landscape.

Given the breadth of our business and scale of our transformation, we will organise our Transformation team around three domains (Channels, Commercials and Enterprise), a Portfolio team and a Change team.

The Organisational Change Partner will focus on change driven by our updated business strategy that will span across all domains, functions, and markets.

The business is seeking to recruit an experienced Change Partner to support the organisational change agenda that will support our transformation plans and deliver our 2030 strategy.

What You’ll Do:
In your role, you’ll collaborate with different people across a range of skillsets. Here’s a flavour of your day-to-day:
  • Support the development and implementation of a comprehensive change strategy to drive the organisational shifts required to achieve our Primark 2030 strategy.
  • Work in conjunction with the Domain Teams to identify and design interventions to drive organisational change consistently through change pipelines.
  • Work in conjunction with strategic planning functions (Portfolio Team, plus functional planning teams e.g. Technology Portfolio) to advise on impact of multiple projects across the business.
  • Provide guidance to the programme change team on the strategies directive of the project.
  • Review Change strategic plan and materials to ensure the approach aligns with the business direction and other initiatives.
  • Embrace our culture of change across Primark using data, models, frameworks, tools and innovative techniques.
  • Contribute to definition and evolution of Primark’s change management methodology and toolkit.
  • Working with business stakeholders, create and refine change management strategies aligned to strategic transformation priorities, their communities and business needs.
  • Working with the Change Lead and business stakeholders to create and refine change management approaches and plans aligned to key projects and business needs.
  • Prepare summaries and analyse specific challenges, change context, climate and capacity to implement and adopt new ways of working.
What You’ll Bring
Here at Primark, we want everyone to feel valued – so please bring your authentic self to work, of course with some other key experience and abilities for this role in particular:
  • Change experience gained through several complex and varied environments. Global or significant cross border experience is a must.
  • Large scale change planning and design, activation working across similar environments - e.g., buying process, Works Councils, translation process, supply chain challenges, localisation needs.
  • To be successful in this role candidates must possess credible understanding of end-to-end business process in the area they will partner with.
  • For this role, understanding the areas that interact directly and indirectly with our customers is essential. Experience of working within one or more of the functional areas in the domain is a distinct advantage and will ensure that the successful candidate approaches the role already understanding the intricacies and hand-offs from function to the next.
  • For the Organisational role, this expertise must include a deep knowledge of the following business functions: Operating models, strategic and structural planning, cultural and mindset shifts
  • Key business capabilities include; change programmes, values and behaviours, organisational development, leadership influencing.
  • As this is a partnering role, you must be currently recognised internally or externally as a person that can influence without authority and engage with leaders at all levels of the organisation.
