Sales and Commercial Focus – Maximising sales, opportunities and performance
- Accurately input orders, updating and amending computer systems with the order details as required
- Continually assess product range with key competitors to compare price, quality and value
- Use of magazines and other fashion publications to identify relevant trends and put forward ideas
- Under the guidance of the Buyer / Assistant Buyer, monitor and report on product sales performance
- Give personal input on the selection of garments
Range – Identify and develop key styling, colour palette and range content
- Use of trade fairs, WGSN, magazines and other fashion publications to identify up and coming trends relevant to the market and season
- On- going competition shopping to source new ideas
- Assist with preparation for range reviews and sign-off meetings
Develop and Source Products – Maintain Buyer's relationship with suppliers
- Daily communication with suppliers and attend any appropriate meetings
- Manage the critical path
- Liaise with suppliers regarding raised orders
- Manage paperwork associated with delivery of product
Samples and Specifications- Manage relevant garment specifications and maintain high quality standards
- Preparation of size specifications
- Management of initial sealing and production samples (including fitting and quality)
- Effectively manage receipt and despatch of packages to and from suppliers
- Ensure garment samples are received on time, are logged and correctly labelled and stored appropriately, returned or disposed of as necessary
- Review lab dip submissions for discussion with the Buyer / Assistant Buyer
- Approval of SGS reports
- Prepare and coordinate samples for press requests
- Lab dips and fit comments – under guidance from Buyer
Operating Standards – Consistently deliver against company expectations and policy
- Be aware of weekly stock and sales information for the section according to company policy
- Be aware of option management guidelines within sections and subsections
- Analyse sections and lines within your section as appropriate
- Provide effective administration support to the team as required
- Be aware of the Corporate Social Responsibility policy
