What You’ll Do as Finance Transformation Portfolio and Delivery Manager
In your role, you’ll collaborate with different people across a range of skillsets. Here’s a flavour of your day-to-day:
- Lead Finance Transformation Program: Oversee the entire program of work across Finance and GBS portfolios, ensuring alignment with Primark’s strategic objectives and successful delivery within scope, timeline, and budget.
- Governance & Prioritisation: Establish and maintain governance frameworks for transformation initiatives, including prioritisation, funding allocation, business case evaluation, and transparent reporting.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Manage workstream meetings and collaborate with SMEs and stakeholders across Finance, Procurement, Legal, Technology, and external partners to drive change readiness and adoption.
- Delivery & Transition Management: Oversee end-to-end delivery of transformation projects, including process migration, risk management, and execution of transition plans for smooth adoption of new ways of working.
- Performance Tracking & Continuous Improvement: Monitor KPIs, maintain dashboards, and identify opportunities for process optimisation, automation, and enhanced control environments to improve efficiency and user experience.
- Communication & Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and manage communication, training, and adoption plans, ensuring effective stakeholder engagement and flexibility to support ongoing projects and change initiatives.

What You’ll Bring
Here at Primark, we want everyone to feel valued – so please bring your authentic self to work, of course with some other key experience and abilities for this role in particular:
- Professional Qualifications & Finance Expertise: Holds an accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent) with strong experience in Finance environments and Finance systems.
- Transformation & Project Management: Proven track record in delivering finance change programmes; accreditation or experience in Transformation, Change Management, or Project Management (e.g., APMG, PMI CAPM/PMP, Lean Six Sigma, Agile) is advantageous.
- Process Design & Automation: Strong knowledge of functional process design, process standardisation, and optimisation; experience documenting process flows and familiarity with RPA/automation tools (e.g., Automation Anywhere, Alteryx, MS Power Automate).
- Analytical & Technical Skills: Understanding of business process change, automation, Business Intelligence, and data analytics; ideally with operational knowledge of Primark finance processes.
- Stakeholder Management & Leadership: Skilled in managing senior stakeholders, providing constructive challenge, and driving best practice while proactively managing change and improving procedures.
- Adaptability & Primark Knowledge: Ability to handle ambiguity, work flexibly across transformation programmes, and leverage in-depth knowledge of Primark’s ways of working and functional areas.
