In this role, you will specifically focus on projects and investments supporting the internal Primark Supply Chain function. The qualified candidate will be interested in making a meaningful impact by providing key insights, presenting analyses, and making recommendations to inform future strategies.

What You’ll Do:

In your role, you’ll collaborate with different people across various skill sets. Here’s a flavour of your day-to-day:

  • Provide financial support for key commercial and strategic initiatives in the business.
  • Extract relevant data to prepare a concise, informative financial analysis to inform key decisions.
  • Represent Finance on individual projects while overseeing their delivery, including monitoring and controlling project budgets and spending, attending weekly project meetings, and updating project forecasts.
  • Partner with stakeholders to formulate and ensure delivery of plans and determine and support quantifying potential financial impacts- ensuring that any material opportunities or issues are appropriate.
  • Support the Supply Chain function to influence key stakeholders and customers to achieve desired financial outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively to construct compelling analysis pieces, outlining issues, opportunities and solutions, overseeing development & ensuring output is insightful & actionable.
  • Collaborate closely with various internal stakeholders within the Finance, Property, Retail, Procurement, and Legal teams as necessary to deliver results.
  • Monitor and measure the impact and effectiveness of strategic projects to ensure consistent delivery and commercial impact.
  • Support the supply chain senior business partner in presenting analyses and making recommendations to senior stakeholders.

What You’ll Bring

Here at Primark, we want everyone to feel valued – so please bring your authentic self to work, of course, with some other key experience and abilities for this role in particular:

  • 3 years of PQE and professional qualification (ACA / ACCA) are required.
  • Advanced financial modelling experience and knowledge of corporate finance, due diligence, long term investment appraisals and techniques needed.
  • Project experience working in a fast-paced finance team, preferable in environment/retail/FMCG – financial consulting experience is advantageous.
  • Ability to build relationships across key stakeholder groups and be commercially aware and numerically savvy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programmes including Word, Project, PowerPoint and confident Excel skills with a good working knowledge of Pivot Tables and Vlookups.
