What You’ll Do as a Legal Counsel
In your role, you’ll collaborate with different people across a range of skillsets. Here’s a flavour of your day-to-day:
- Operate as a key business partner to support and advise on a range of commercial legal matters and in doing so actively contribute to the ongoing success of the Primark business.
- Lead on the drafting, review, and negotiation of a variety of commercial contracts
- Provide commercially focused, pragmatic legal advice that supports Primark’s growing business.
- Partner with teams across the organisation to deliver solutions aligned with our business objectives while upholding our values.
- Monitor and provide updates on legal developments affecting the retail industry and help the business prepare.
- Effectively collaborate with outside law firms when needed, managing timelines and budgets for this as required to ensure maximum value for Primark.
What You’ll Bring

- Talented solicitor with 2 - 5 years PQE, including experience in private practice in Ireland or the UK.
- Excellent academics and legal experience relevant to Primark’s business.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- Strong experience in commercial contract drafting and negotiation.
- Ability to apply a rigorous legal interpretation without compromising the business.
- A history of developing effective working relationships across all levels of an organisation
- A strong work ethic and comfortable working in a dynamic environment
