APPLICATION PROCESS
Thinking of becoming a Retail Assistant or Retail Manager at Primark? You're in the right place. Here's what you can expect when you apply:
RETAIL ASSISTANT
- Application Form
Your Retail Assistant application begins with a short form. It has some questions to make sure we'll be a good fit, and will only take you a few minutes to complete.
- Situational Judgement Test
This test takes around 10 minutes to complete. You'll be presented with situations that Retail Assistants may face on the job, and you'll need to select which of the listed responses is more effective and which is less effective at resolving the situation quickly, efficiently, and positively.
- Interview
One of our managers will interview you in a store or via video call, for around 30 minutes. We'll gather details about your skills and experiences, and you'll have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have. And don't worry – we're a friendly bunch!
RETAIL MANAGERS
- Application Form and CV
To begin your Retail Management application, upload your CV and complete a short form.
- Telephone Conversations
Next, you'll get a call from one of our recruitment team. They'll share some information about the role and ask you questions about your skills and experiences. If you've got any questions about the store or the role, now's your chance!
- Task-Based Assessment (Selected roles)
Some of our roles require an online assessment. They could take up to 45 minutes, but you'll get full instructions, practice questions and any other information you'll need closer to the time. We also have store-based assessments, and if relevant to your role, we'll ask you to come in and meet us. If your assessment is in person, we'll combine it with the next stage, the interview.
- Interview
And just like that, we're at the final stage. An interviewer and a note-taker will ask you about your career for up to an hour, either face-to-face or over video call. Depending on the role, you may have to prepare a presentation, and they'll ask you competency-related questions to find out more about your skills and experiences. If your interview takes place in-store you may have to complete a skills-based assessment, but your recruiter will share everything you need to know before the time!
