Diversity, equity and inclusion are important to our culture and rooted in our values. They form the foundation of how we'll keep moving forward. We want our colleagues and our customers to experience the joy of finding somewhere they belong.

We start by listening to our colleagues and customers and empowering their voices. We challenge our own perceived limits to remove barriers and make our environments, experiences and products more inclusive for everyone. We know how important it is to create an environment where everyone can be their authentic selves every day, so we aim to create spaces that put you first.

We’re really proud of the fact that our customers and colleagues come from a wide range of backgrounds – we have over 180 nationalities working across Primark! We're working hard to ensure everyone feels represented in what we do and how we do it. That's our way.

Our Head of Diversity and Inclusion and our Diversity and Inclusion business partners work across multiple markets, building on existing foundations to deliver our diversity and inclusion strategy – with our people at the core. They're supported by our sponsors and colleague networks, to create an inclusive environment where every Primark colleague and customer can feel like they belong. This focus extends into our supply chain, where our commitment to Primark Cares is brought to life.

PRIDE

Our 'Proud' campaign runs every year, with inclusion and acceptance at its core. Being seen and feeling safe is at the core of the LGBTIQ+ community and Primark is proud to partner with ILGA World, a worldwide federation campaigning for the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex people. 

In 2022, we celebrated a donation milestone of €500,000 in partnership with ILGA World in 2018. Primark’s donations have helped ILGA World strengthen LGBTIQ+ youth organisations globally so that young people with diverse sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions can have a safe space. Because belonging makes all the difference.

BREAST CARE AWARENESS

The Breast Cancer Collection has been co-designed and developed alongside the Breast Cancer Now charity and influenced by the experiences of people who have experienced breast cancer and undergone breast surgery. We aim to address some of the challenges and needs that arise after treatment, at the Primark price point you know and love.

Our research has shown us that specialist products like these aren’t always accessible or affordable to everyone. Cancer affects so many of us and we are proud to be using our scale to drive awareness, raise vital funds and support services for people affected by cancer.

Our key pillars form the foundation of everything we do here at Primark. Primark Cares focuses on the People pillar, supporting the livelihoods of the people who make our clothes – they're crucial to who we are today, and we take our responsibilities to them very seriously.

We’re working towards three key commitments for everyone in our supply chain:

  • Improving health and wellbeing
