I currently work at Primark, how do I apply for an internal position when I see one available?
Our internal opportunities are available on our internal careers page which can be found on Primark Zing, if you have any issues locating or accessing the page please speak to your line manager or P&C Team. We would suggest you make your line manager aware you are interested in a new opportunity before you submit your application.
I previously worked with Primark, and I would like to come back to the company. What is the process for this?
We're delighted you are interested in re-joining the team. All of our current vacancies can be found on our careers page. You're welcome to re-apply for roles of interest and your application will be reviewed in line with our requirements.
I don't see the job I am interested in on the careers page, who can I send my CV to?
Thanks for your interest in a career at Primark. We're sorry that you can't find the job you are looking for at this time. In order to protect your data, we cannot accept direct CVs. However, please do sign-up for our job alert at the bottom of the page. This means we can notify you directly when the role(s) you are looking for are available.
What type of jobs are available at Primark?
We have a wide range of opportunities across our business in our stores, our supply chain, our Head Offices and regional offices in markets we operate in. Please visit our careers page to see all of our current vacancies.
Do I need to upload a cover letter to my application?
No its not mandatory, but there is an option to upload a cover letter if you wish to do so.
How do I get feedback on my application?
Every application is important to us and we'll always aim to respond to every application. However, for some roles, due to the volume of applications we receive, we might not be able to provide detailed feedback on every application.
Do I need to apply on both the Career Site and a Job board I have seen the job advertised on?
All of our job boards are linked to our careers site so please only submit one application per role to avoid duplicate applications. You will receive an email notification confirming we have received your application.
How are pre-employment checks conducted at Primark?
Primark may conduct pre-employment checks relevant to your role and job location, if required. If these check are required, Primark will ask you to agree to verify the information and documentation provided. More details will be provided at the appropriate time.
How do I create a new user account?
You can create a new Primark profile to manage your job applications here.
I’m having difficulty applying or have forgotten my password.
If you have forgotten your password, you can use the ‘Forgot your password?’ link at the bottom of the “Sign in” page. You’ll receive an email with a link to reset your password. Password resets can sometimes take up to 48 hours and please don’t forget to check your Junk Mail folder.
Why doesn’t my login work anymore?
For security reasons, your username and password are only active for 90 days. So, if your login isn’t recognised, it’s likely that it's been a few months since you first signed up. If that’s the case, all you need to do is create a new log in.
I can’t get into my account / I’m locked out…
Your username and password are only active for 90 days for security reasons. If you're returning after 90 days you will need to reset your password. You can do this using the 'Forgotten your password?' link on the log in page of the site. Click on this and you will receive a secure email to the address in your profile with a link to create a new password. Please do not try to use this new password for at least 24 hours, as you may get locked out again if the system hasn’t processed the request and doesn’t recognise the change.
Can I update my profile information?
Yes, just log in to your profile and click on ‘My Details’. You’ll then see all your info, which you can change and update. This includes your username and password.
I’m not able to view or check my application from my Candidate profile / Edit my application.
If you have created a Candidate Profile, “Sign in” to your profile and you will be able to view all submitted applications under “Applications” and “Submitted Applications” tab. From here, you can also update your CV or application.
How can I delete my application and user account?
You can withdraw your application by logging in to you Candidate profile. If you would like to delete your user account and application history, please email dataprotection@primark.ie
I’ve made a mistake and applied for the wrong vacancy. Can I change this? / I would like to withdraw my application
You can log back in to your Candidate profile and from the “submitted applications” tab, where you can withdraw your application. If you would like to apply to a different vacancy, please search for other open vacancies from our career site and submit your application.
I withdrew my application but have changed my mind and now want to proceed. What should I do? / I withdrew my application by accident what do I do?

I have previously worked at Primark but I have forgotten my username and password. Can I create a new user account and apply?

You will receive an email with a link to reset your password. Don’t worry if there isn’t an email address linked to your profile – you’ll be able to answer a previously determined security question to reset your password. How do I sign up for Job Alerts?
To set up a job alert, search for a job by keyword or location and look out for the 'sign up to job alert' option underneath the search results. You can select job category and preferred location and once you add your preferences and email address, you can subscribe for job alerts. Once you subscribe, you will receive a notification email once the position becomes available.
Can I update my preferences for Job Alerts?
Yes. You can click on 'Manage my alerts' at any time to change your preferences.
How do I continue an application I've already started?
First, log on to your profile using your username and password. You’ll see a link to ‘unfinished job applications’ (assuming the closing date hasn’t passed). Then click on the ‘continue’ icon next to the job title and continue your application where you left it.
Where can I find the status of my application?
If you have created a Candidate Profile, “Sign in” to your profile to view your application status. Here you will be able to view all submitted applications under “Applications” and “Submitted Applications” tabs and the status of all your previous applications. If the status of your application is listed as “Under Review”, this means that your application is currently being reviewed by the Recruitment team.
I haven’t received an email/interview confirmation. What should I do?
Emails sent from us can sometimes be flagged as junk, so please check your junk/spam folder. You can then add our email address to your safe senders/priority list so all future emails arrive into your inbox.
From what age can I apply for a job at Primark?
This will vary in each market we operate in, please refer to local legislation to see if you are of age to apply for a job with us.
What hours and shifts can I work as a young worker?
Each market will have different legislation on hours of work if you are under 18 years old, please refer to local legislation if you are unsure. Due to the variety of work we carry out, some roles and shift patters are only suitable for applicants over 18 years old, this will be in line with local employment legislation. If you have any queries, please refer to your local legislation.
Do you offer university placements?
Yes! Primark offer a 12 month placement programme based in our Dublin head office for university students studying an undergraduate degree. You can find details of our placements here (https://careers.primark.com/en/early-careers)
Do you offer internships and work experience?
Yes! Primark offers internships/university placements and work experience. However, what we offer varies per country and function, please keep an eye on our social media and careers website for opportunities.
Do you have a graduate programme?
We don't currently have a specific graduate programme at Primark. However, depending on the country, we may have vacancies available that are suitable for new and recent graduates. Please visit our careers page to explore our vacancies.
What hours are Colleagues expected to work at Primark?
Primark hires for full-time and part-time positions, but hours may vary by position, location and department. Please speak to your interviewer regarding hours you will be required to work at interview stage if this is not specified on the job advert.
Does Primark offer hybrid working?
We work hard to meet the diverse needs of our colleagues, however, as a Retailer, not all positions can be Hybrid due to the nature of our business. Full details will be provided during your interview process.

What are the steps in the Primark's recruitment process?

What should I expect during the recruitment process?

Are practice tests or questions available for online assessments?
If you are required to complete an online assessment, there will be at least one practice question for you to complete before your test begins. Please complete this, so that you are familiar with the assessment format and question style.
Will the assessment results be shared with me?
We will keep you updated on your progress throughout our recruitment process. We aim to offer all candidates high level feedback but in some instances this may not be possible. Feedback available will depend on the type of recruitment activities completed.

What is a Primark Interview like?
At Primark, we have a transparent and inclusive experience for all candidates, ensuring that you can perform at your best. You can expect a structured interview, with a range of open-ended questions to understand your skills and experience, and for you to understand more about us and the role. During the interview, we will also take the opportunity to talk to you about the role you've applied for, so please do come with questions for us!
How should I prepare for my interview?
In preparation for your interview we would recommend the following:
• Start your preparation with self-reflection. Spend some time reflecting on your aspirations and past experience. Be prepared to talk about yourself.
• Research Primark and familiarise yourself with the job description and role requirements. Reflect on the connection between these and your skills and experience.
• Arrive 5-10 minutes prior to your interview if its onsite. If you are having a virtual interview, please dial in five minutes early to check your connectivity and sound quality.
• Your interview is also your opportunity to get to know us, so have some questions ready to ask your interviewers.
What should I bring to my interview?
You'll receive an email confirming your interview details. We’ll provide information on what documents you’ll need to bring with you within the confirmation email, if any are required.
What should I wear to my Interview?
We like to be professional and comfortable. We'd recommend a smart-casual style that emphasizes comfort, professionalism, and allows for personal expression.
How will I know if my interview will be face-to-face or virtually?
The interview format (face-to-face or virtual) will be communicated to you in advance.
Do I need to prepare differently for a virtual interview?
The preparation will be similar for virtual and face to face interviews however, for virtual interviews you will also want to consider your environment and technology. Before you start, check your Wi-Fi connection and battery levels, test your equipment, get a bottle of water and find a quiet, well-lit space with minimal distractions.
How do I cancel or re-schedule my interview if I am unable to attend?
Please reach out to your recruiter or in-store contact, who will be happy to assist you with rescheduling or cancelling your interview. We will always do our best to accommodate any changes.

Why can I not reapply for a Retail Assistant position?
If you have previously applied for a Retail Assistant position with us and your application was unsuccessful, you may be unable to reapply for a period of up to 3 months. Please review the email you received with the outcome of your last application for further detail.
How do Primark use the information you share with us?
The information you share as part of the recruitment process is used to assess your suitability for the role and conduct pre employment checks (if necessary) with your consent, along with local data retention rules.
